Installation Instructions for Electronic Trailer Brake Control (2 & 4 Brake Systems)
Product Information:

Tools Required:
- Screwdriver
- Drill with 1/8" drill bit
- Wire Cutter/Stripper
- Wire Crimping Tool
- Circuit Tester (Probe Type)

- Brake Control Unit
- Mounting Bracket
- Mounting Screws (#6 x 3/8") (Qty: 4)
- Wire Tap Connector
Mounting Instructions:

Select Mounting Location:
- Ensure the location is solid and within easy reach of the driver.
- Confirm that nothing is behind the panel before drilling.

Drill Holes for the Mounting Bracket:
- Use the mounting bracket slots as a template to mark holes.
- Drill two (2) holes using a 1/8" drill bit.

Secure the Bracket:
- Attach the bracket to the mounting location with self-tapping screws provided.

Install the Brake Control Unit:
- Slide the Brake Control into the bracket.
- Secure the Brake Control with the remaining screws.
Wiring Instructions:

Black Wire (Battery +):
- Connect to the positive terminal of the battery via a 20A auto-reset circuit breaker.

White Wire (Ground -):
- Connect to a clean, bare metal ground on the vehicle chassis.

Red Wire (Stoplight Switch):
- Connect to the cold side of the stoplight switch (active only when the brake pedal is pressed).

Blue Wire (Trailer Brake Wire):
- Connect to the trailer brake wire at the 7-way trailer connector.
Brake Control Setup:

Adjust Output Control:
- Turn the Output Control (top-left knob) to the lowest setting (full right).

- Drive forward slowly and apply the brakes.
- Gradually adjust the Output Control to the left until firm trailer braking is felt.

- Turn the Sync Control (left knob) forward for more aggressive braking.
