Installation Instructions for Trailer Hitch

Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Remove Mud Flap and Bottom Appearance Panels:
- Remove the mud flap on the driver side if present.
- Use a Phillips screwdriver, panel removal tool, and 10 mm socket to remove (4) rivets and (2) screws from the bottom appearance panel on the driver side.
- Use the panel removal tool to remove (2) rivets from the small plastic panel above the exhaust tip on the passenger side.
- Retain all fasteners and panels for reinstallation.
2. Lower Exhaust Pipe:
- Use exhaust removal pliers to lower the exhaust pipe on the passenger side temporarily.
- Use a support or bungee cord to prevent damage to the muffler.
3. Install Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position and carefully slide it over the passenger-side exhaust pipe first.
- Loosely install M12 bolts and conical washers into the hitch.
4. Tighten Fasteners:
- Tighten all M12 fasteners with a torque wrench to 76 lb-ft (103 N·m).
5. Trim Bottom Appearance Panel:
- Trim the bottom appearance panel as shown in the provided diagram.
6. Reinstall Components:
- Reinstall all fasteners, exhaust, appearance panels, and mud flaps removed in Steps 1 and 2.

Installation Instructions for T-One® T-Connector for Honda Odyssey

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Access the Trailer Wiring Harness:
- Open the rear hatch and push forward the rear seat.
- Temporarily remove the vehicle’s access panel on the passenger side to access the vehicle’s trailer wiring harness.

Locate the Tow Plug:
- Locate the blue tow plug inside the storage compartment, taped to the vehicle wiring harness.
- Insert the tow plug into the connector. Be careful not to damage the locking tabs and ensure the connectors are fully inserted with the locking tabs in place.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector, such as the vehicle’s frame or crossmember.
- Clean the area of dirt and rustproofing.
- Drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.
Caution: Verify what is behind any surface prior to drilling to avoid damage to the vehicle or personal injury.

Mount the Black Box:
- On the driver’s side, mount the T-Connector black box using the provided double-sided tape.
- Secure the remainder of the T-Connector harness with the provided cable ties, avoiding areas that may pinch or cut the wire.

Route the Power Wire:
- Locate the black 12-gauge power wire from the T-Connector box.
- Attach the provided black wire and route it along the vehicle’s exterior frame to the engine compartment, avoiding hot pipes, heat shields, the fuel tank, or any other points that may pinch or break the wire.

Connect to the Vehicle Battery:
- Disconnect the vehicle’s Negative (-) battery cable.
- Remove the fuse from the yellow fuse holder.
- Attach the ring terminal to the Positive (+) battery cable and secure it.
- Connect the other end of the fuse holder to the black wire using the provided yellow butt connector.
Warning: Follow all warnings and cautions printed on the tow vehicle’s battery.

Reconnect the Battery and Test:
- Reconnect the Negative (-) battery cable.
- Install the 15-amp fuse into the fuse holder.
- Test the installation using a test light or trailer. Reset the vehicle’s electrical system by temporarily removing the key from the ignition.

Secure the Wiring Harness:
- Use the provided cable ties to secure the T-One® T-Connector harness, avoiding areas that may pinch, cut, or melt the wire.

Store the 4-Flat Connector:
- Near the access panel, push the trim panel out slightly to route the 4-flat connector into the cargo area, underneath the trim panel.
Note: Store the 4-flat connector in the rear cargo area when not in use.

Mount the Adapter:
- Choose a suitable mounting point on the vehicle, typically near the hitch.
- Use the provided bracket and screws to secure the adapter.

Connect the 4-Flat Plug:
- Plug the 4-flat connector on the adapter into the existing 4-flat plug on the vehicle.
- This connection enables tail lights, left turn, and right turn signals.

- Run a heavy-gauge wire from the battery's positive terminal to the battery side of this circuit breaker, using a ring terminal.
- Run another heavy-gauge wire from the battery's positive terminal to the auxiliary side of the second circuit breaker (for the brake controller).

Installation and Operation Instructions for the P3 Electronic Brake Control
Specifications:
- Supports 2, 4, 6, and 8 brake applications.
- Utilizes proportional braking with an inertial sensor.
Tools Required:
- Drill with a 1/8" bit.
- Screwdriver or nut driver.
- Wire crimp tool.
- Probe-type circuit tester.
Safety Notes:
- Avoid mounting or activating RF-generating devices (e.g., cell phones) within 12 inches of the brake control.
- Always adhere to the vehicle's Gross Combined Weight Rating (GCWR).
- Do not use the Boost feature during icy or slippery road conditions.
- Disconnect the trailer plug before testing a breakaway switch to prevent damage.

Mounting the Brake Control:

Traditional Bracket Mount:

- Secure the small metal bracket with screws to a flat surface.

Wiring the Brake Control:

- Option 2: Use an OEM-specific wiring harness compatible with the vehicle's tow package.
- Wire Functions:
- Black: Positive power (+12V).
- White: Vehicle ground.
- Red: Cold side of brake pedal switch.
- Blue: Trailer brakes output.
Setting Up the Control:
- Connect the trailer to the vehicle.
- Use the Menu/Options button to access the setup screen.
- Select the brake type:
- Electric: For electric brakes.
- Hydraulic: For electric over hydraulic braking systems.

Boost Feature:
